blogville-italy-logo-1400-550We are proud and very excited to announce the launch of our ground-breaking Blogville project with the Emilia Romagna Tourist Board in Italy. This fifth edition will see 15 bloggers discover the Emilia Romagna region, heart of the Italian FoodValley and MotorValley for five weeks (6th June – 11th July 2016).

Developed by the Emilia Romagna Region Tourist Board together with iambassador, the BlogVille project has brought bloggers from all over the world to Italy since 2012. The 2016 edition involves fifteen bloggers from Europe (Belgium, France, Germany, UK, Poland, Spain and Switzerland), North America (USA, Canada), South America (Brazil, Colombia) and the UAE. This brings the total number of bloggers and influencers involved with BlogVille since 2012 to over 200. Since the first year, the bloggers and influencers have created over 1,200 blog posts which have been read by over 1.8 million people and have reached over 18 million users on the different social media platforms.

This year the project will focus on the visual side of storytelling, with the participation of renowned Instagrammers of the iambassador network. Furthermore, iambassador member and talented blogger and photographer Lola Akinmade Åkerström will host a photography workshop on 18th June in Reggio Emilia on the occasion of the annual European Photography Festival.

According to Emilia Romagna’s Tourism Deputy Andrea Corsini, “Blogville is a key project for our strategy of promotion of the destination in the international markets and a great tool to intercept international travellers online”.

“The Blogville collaboration with the Emilia Romagna Tourist Board, now into its fifth year, has shown that thinking and working long term with digital influencers is an effective way to promote a destination online”, says Keith Jenkins, CEO of iambassador.
