San Francisco, California and Amsterdam, The Netherlands May 2014 – iambassador and Cathay Pacific Airways are pleased to announce a new collaboration to highlight the services and destinations of Cathay Pacific. Cathay Pacific has long been an innovator in the digital space and this latest partnership with the foremost group of influencers and bloggers in the world further extends their commitment to social media marketing.
Three bloggers: one travel, one fashion and one food-oriented will travel to Hong Kong on the newly- minted Newark-Hong Kong nonstop route. Along the way they will review the latest in Cathay Pacific’s cabin innovations, Premium Economy Class.
Once in Hong Kong, the bloggers will discover the beauty, history, food and traditions of the city, sharing it all with their audiences around the world. They will then split up, off to discover a few of the other destinations that Cathay Pacific services, making Newark an ideal way to access the jewels of Asia. The food blogger will visit Yangon, where she will learn more about local food traditions, cook with neighborhood chefs and make her own personal culinary discoveries. The fashion blogger will fly to Shanghai, one of the most glamorous cities in the world, where she will peek behind the curtains of the many fashion houses located there, sharing with her fans and followers what makes Shanghai a cutting edge city of fashion. Finally, the travel blogger will venture to Siem Reap in Cambodia, to experience what new luxury looks like in Asia as well as discover the vaunted history that makes this area so very famous around the world. Throughout their adventures, the bloggers will share what they find with their audiences as well as embark on some special challenges that will only be revealed to them once they arrive.
“We are extremely excited to be working with Cathay Pacific on this creative campaign,” says Keith Jenkins, CEO iambassador, “Bloggers are ideal brand ambassadors and it’s leaders like Cathay that help expand the capabilities over digital marketing and how it will continue to evolve in the future.”
By following the hashtag #CXploreAsia on social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, people around the world will have an opportunity to become acquainted with both Cathay Pacific and the beautiful destinations they reach.
#CXploreAsia promises to be an innovative blogger-driven social media campaign that showcases Cathay’s premium products and services.
“Cathay Pacific likes to push the envelope when it comes to digital engagement and online marketing,” said Eric Odone, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Americas, Cathay Pacific. “The campaign with iambassador is an excellent way to tell the Cathay story in an exciting and unique way, through the eyes of three of the top bloggers in the country. We look forward to seeing and sharing their content.”
After their visit, they will continue to write about their journey over the following months, through quality articles, videos and photographs, which will be posted on their blogs, highlighting their experiences with Cathay Pacific and providing great trip ideas and tips for anyone visiting Asia.
The objective of this campaign is to highlight the remarkable service offered by Cathay Pacific as well as the ease of visiting some of the top cities in Asia, all directly from Newark International Airport and seen through the bloggers’ individual perspectives. The Cathay Pacific online presence will continue to grow through the rich multimedia content produced by the campaign.
We invite you to follow the #CXploreAsia hashtag for what will be a remarkable and exciting journey.
