Mauritiusiambassador is proud and very excited to announce its latest collaboration with the island of Mauritius. Thirteen bloggers and one videographer will arrive in Mauritius from around the world on 20th September, in order to promote Mauritius as an attractive tourist destination. By following the hashtag #MyMauritius on social media channels such as Twitter, facebook and Instagram, people around the world will have an opportunity to become acquainted with the varied attractions of Mauritius through just a click of a button.

#MyMauritius promises to be the largest travel blogger and social media tourism campaign that this island nation in the Indian Ocean has ever organised. The bloggers, arriving from Europe, South Africa, Canada and China, will share their experiences live throughout their stay, which will be from the 23rd to the 30th September, via their social media channels, thereby reaching their followers worldwide in real-time.

After their visit they will continue to write about Mauritius over the following two months, through quality articles, videos and photographs, which will be posted on their blogs, highlighting their experiences in Mauritius and providing great trip ideas and tips for anyone visiting the country. Follow the #MyMauritius to keep track of all that will be posted. A #MyMauritius microsite, which will contain the highlights of their Mauritian adventure, has already been created.

phoca_thumb_l_MTPA_119The bloggers will stay in a wide range of hotels and regions across Mauritius in order to experience the diversity of places available on the island. The bloggers have different profiles and will, during their stay, experience all aspects of Mauritius; including luxury, adventure, culture, food, family outings, adrenaline sports, kitesurfing, golf, nature and spa and wellness.

The objective of this campaign is to highlight the personal experiences of Mauritius as seen through the bloggers’ individual perspectives. The Mauritius online presence will be boosted by the rich multimedia content produced by the campaign.

This campaign has been made possible thanks to the partnerships between all the stakeholders in the tourism industry and their vision for Mauritius as a top tourist destination. The campaign will enhance Mauritius’ online presence and promote engagement via social media. It is driven by AHRIM (Association of Hotels and Restaurants in Mauritius) in partnership with Air Mauritius, the MTPA (Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority) and the AIOM (Association of Inbound Operators in Mauritius).

AHRIM is working with Xii Monkeys (local global communication agency), iambassador and London Advertising (global agency for the 21st century based in the UK) to construct and coordinate the campaign, using iambassador’s pool of bloggers.

Please join #MyMauritius on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and follow the adventures of our bloggers!

Social media reporting and analysis of the #MyMauritius campaign will be provided by Brandseye. Additional marketing services provided by Travel Concept Solution.
