sts-4-1We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to come up with new topic ideas and finding expert speakers for the Social Travel Summit in Hamburg. We’ve confirmed a good number of speakers and sessions, including our keynotes.

We’re very excited to announce that Andrew Grill, the former CEO of online influence platform Kred, will speak about Bloggers and Brands – Walking a Fine Line into the Future of Social. Another topic that we’re looking forward to discussing is neuromarketing and the online application of this science. Sara Fay, from WordofMedia, will present her views on neuromarketing strategies and social media tactics. In addition, we’ll have best-selling author and marketing expert, Andrew Davis, speak about creating mutually-beneficial creative partnerships between brands and bloggers.

We’ll also have insightful workshops on SEO (“SEO in 2015: How to Earn Your Ranking”), Conversion (“Engagement to Conversion: 4 Simple Steps for Stronger Online Results”), smartphone video strategies, storytelling and many more.

Please visit our Programme page for more details on our confirmed speakers and sessions.

New sponsors

We’re also very excited to announce new sponsors for the Social Travel Summit:

MSC_final-fpPremium Sponsor: MSC Cruises

MSC Cruises is the market leader in the Mediterranean, South Africa and Brazil, sailing year-round in the Mediterranean. Its seasonal itineraries cover northern Europe, the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean and French Antilles, South America, southern Africa, as well as the Emirates and Oman.

According to David Arcifa (MSC Cruises Corporate Social Media Manager), “We sponsored the first Summit last year in Leipzig and were impressed by the level of professionalism of all the bloggers involved, which, in turn, creates the ideal setting for a fruitful industry/blogger exchange and possible future collaboration. We all learn from one another.

In addition, the fact that this year’s event is held in Hamburg resonated deeply with MSC Cruises as we have one ship – the beautiful MSC Splendida – that will be based in this harbour for the summer. MSC Cruises also looks with a great interest at the German market and is scheduled to increase its capacity in the German market by 30% in the summer of 2016.”

Norway_sponsorPlatinum Sponsor: Visit Norway

Visit Norway is the official Norwegian tourism office. Visit Norway helps journalists and bloggers, who would like to report about Norway, and presents the country with marketing campaigns, initiatives and on fairs. A mixed team of Norway-enthusiasts looks after Visit Norway’s social media channels, plans online campaigns and keeps the website updated. In Germany the Visit Norway-office is located in Hamburg.

According to Visit Norway, “We started very early to work with bloggers. What we like: New eyes looking on Norway, new forms of presentation, and inspired and interesting people. For us it’s exciting and really fun to work with bloggers and Norway is worth to be seen with new eyes every day!”

In addition, “We attended the first STS in Leipzig and were really convinced by the concept of the event! It was obvious that the pre-selection of bloggers worked out very well. All contacts we got during the days were fruitful. We get contacted by a lot of bloggers, but we’ve never met so many interesting and creative bloggers in one place! This concentrated blogger-competence combined with the high level presentations is for us the ideal platform to present Norway!
