Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe

Bloggers’ trip along the Transromanica and the Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route

Crossing Routes – Blogging Europe is the bloggers’ trip project organised under the Joint Programme between the Council of Europe and the European Commission for the promotion of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe. This year, the initiative reaches its 3rd edition.

As in 2015, the project is organised in cooperation with the European Travel Commission, the non-profit organisation responsible for the promotion of Europe as a tourist destination in third markets.

ieic-logo-en-frontAn international group of five bloggers coming from Europe, the USA, Brazil, China and India of the iambassador network will experience in South-Eastern Europe the two thematic and historical Cultural Routes Transromanica and the Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route, both certified by the Council of Europe. The initiative will take place from the 25th to the 30th of August 2016, travelling back from Roman and Medieval times to nowadays through Slovenia, Austria and Serbia.

The bloggers, including photographers and video-makers, will share their impressions and promote the cultural and touristic offers of the itineraries, the way they respond to the current tourism demand of the “experience economy”, doing so with both a scent of touristic adventure and a full immersion in the crossed territories.

The chronicles of this innovative travel experience are provided through social media and on the web portals:
