For the sixth year, iambassador is excited to announce that Blogville is go!

Launching on Monday 5th June 2017 this sixth edition of Blogville is a very special one because it features two destinations, and one of them is in another country. Yes, 2017 is the beginning of Blogville Europe!

About Blogville 2017

While in previous years Blogville has successfully hosted bloggers and influencers in more than one destination in Emilia-Romagna or has partnered with another region of Italy, this year is the first time the campaign is partnering with another region in another country. The destination in question is Tirol, the famously scenic Alpine region of Austria. As for Italy, in addition to Emilia-Romagna, this year influencers will also be based in the Republic of San Marino, the fairytale-esque microstate that has been a Blogville favourite since 2013. It’s fair to say that we expect a lot of jaw-dropping photos of mountains and countryside to feature heavily in the content shared from the first Blogville Europe.

Kicking off next week and stretching over six weeks of the summer, 15 influencers are heading to Italy to discover San Marino and the region’s Motor Valley, Food Valley and Wellness Valley legacies, and then six others will be venturing to Tirol to explore a region that has just as much to offer in the warmer months as it does during its winter season which is so popular with fans of skiing and wintersports.
The influencers arriving in Emilia-Romagna and Tirol soon are from all over the world and will be sharing stories in multiple languages and publishing their content over a wide range of blogs, websites and social media platforms. They will be travelling between destinations by train on a route that in itself will be a very special and picturesque journey. In each destination they will be supported in creating a customised itinerary that will allow them to best tell the stories they want to.

A Short History of Blogville

Since its launch in 2012, Blogville has altered the digital marketing landscape of the travel industry. Inviting bloggers to come and stay in an apartment in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, it was one of the first campaigns of its kind as it gave bloggers freedom to find their own stories and share their unique take on a destination. The result was a wealth of content (much of it curated on the official Blogville site) from blog posts to videos, professional-standard HD photographs to ebooks. Over the last five years of Blogville, over 1300 online articles have been published and these have been viewed by more than 1.8 million individual readers. In total, the social media coverage of Blogville is estimated to have reached a network of 18 million online users over five years.
Blogville has been featured extensively in Italian and international media including TV and national newspapers, and the campaign has won a number of awards including the Innovative Initiative Award at the Social Media Tourism Symposium 2014 Rovaniemi (FIN) and Best Travel 2.0 Innovation & White Paper of Travel Blogging World Travel Market 2012 London (UK).
