sts-4-1First Social Travel Summit: over 120 international delegates expected in Leipzig

Frankfurt am Main, 10 April 2014 – The first Social Travel Summit, which is taking place on 15 and 16 April 2014 in Leipzig, is attracting a huge amount of international interest. Currently, more than 120 bloggers and travel industry professionals from around 20 countries are expected to attend this social media marketing (SMM) event. The conference is being run by iambassador and the Reiseblogger Kollektiv, an affiliation of leading travel bloggers from German-speaking countries.

During the SMM conference, the hashtag #STSLeipzig will be used to summarise all the talks as well as the latest trends and developments in online marketing and publishing. At the venue, industry insiders will have the opportunity to talk to 50 of the world’s top travel bloggers to find out how social media has changed travel marketing and how they can make this trend work for them. There will be around 15 workshops providing specific tips on different aspects of social media. Click here for the finalised program.

The GNTB and Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing GmbH are joined as main sponsors of the event by German rail company Deutsche Bahn. Deutsche Bahn is providing transport for the 25 bloggers who will be touring Germany after the Social Travel Summit and reporting live on their experiences via Twitter, Facebook and their own blogs.
