World Travel Market Africa, held in Cape Town, South Africa between 15-17 April 2015, is inviting travel bloggers to register for an entrance pass and participate in this year’s blogger programme.

INVITE Blogger

This year, iambassador will participate in the WTM Africa blogger programme in two sessions. The first is a presentation by Keith Jenkins (iambassador CEO and Publisher of Velvet Escape) on ‘How international travel bloggers are changing the media landscape’ (Wednesday, 15th April 2015; 16:30 – 17:15). The presentation will contain case studies of industry-blogger collaborations as well as examples of blogger initiatives. This session will be followed by an informal networking event for bloggers to meet industry partners.

The second session is a panel discussion on blogger campaigns and measuring results (Thursday, 16th April 2015; 13:30 – 14:15). The panel includes Keith Jenkins, Mariette du Toit-Helmbold (CEO of Destinate), Velma Corcoran (Executive Marketing Manager, Cape Town Tourism) and Michael Bean (Director, BrandsEye.com). The discussion will be moderated by Simon Lewis (Co-founder of the African Bloggers Network). This session aims to provide both bloggers and industry representatives with valuable insights on working with bloggers and utilising social media effectively. In addition, BrandsEye will share their thoughts on measuring the returns of social media and blogger campaigns.

On Tuesday, 14th April 2015, Travel Massive Cape Town will organise an event for which both bloggers and tourism industry representatives are invited. For more info, please visit Travel Massive Cape Town.
